Welcome to FOOL MOON GRILL AND BAR. Here’s a little backround   on  the ’ how’  and  ‘ why’ our restaurant got its name.

 

While in high school and trying to earn some summer money, we, along with our cousins, worked at Foxxx  Pools in Evansville.  We were mentored by our Uncles Dave and Garren about having a healthy work ethic.  Not only did our uncles teach us the how but the why when it came to particular skills.  After a long work week,  the family relaxed  boating  the  various waterways of the Ohio and Green Rivers and lakes Barkley and Kentucky.   Dave had a passion for boating.  He loved it so much, not only did he boat during the day but also at night.  He would use the light of the moon to guide him.  People often told him he  he was a “FOOL” to boat at night but he didn’t care.

 

If you had the pleasure  of  knowing  Dave, you would know he was a hard working  gentle man.  He could build anything with his hands  and  was  often  found  helping out on various projects.  Boating with family  and  friends  gave  Dave much joy.  Our mentor passed away in 2007 from colon cancer.  He was 43 years old.   Dave left an everlasting impression on so  many  hearts  especially  his wife Kim, and children Jessica, Jeffery, Michael, and Maddie.  They continue the tradition of relaxing on the water with their beloved boat ‘FOOL Moon"

 

In honor of our Uncle we will have food and drink specials each month ON the date of the Full moon.

 

So remember,…it not just “all in the name “ but  “all the love that goes into the name”.
